Membership

Members can be divided into four categories – (1) Life Member, (2) Annual Member, (3) Student Member (only Post-graduate), and (4) Institutional Member.

Academicians, Professionals and persons having interest with credible knowledge and/or publications in the history or history of science can become either annual or lifetime members. An annual membership fee of Rs. 1000 (One thousand only) and a lifetime membership fee of Rs. 10000 (Ten thousand only) can be charged from them.

There can be relaxation of qualification and membership charge from the Post-graduate students. They need to pay Rs. 500 (Five hundred only) for annual membership after the production of valid student identity card issued by the competent authority. Student members are expected to be actively engaged in the research and other academic activities of the Society.

However, the research scholars (M.Phil. and Ph.D.) who are on scholarship/fellowship are not entitled for such relaxation of membership fee.

Institutions can also apply for membership. As mentioned earlier they can ask for courses offered by us according to their needs. An amount shall be fixed for institutional membership by the Council.
